WHERE: Meet at Building 72 in the Arboretum at the Central Experimental Farm, east of the Prince of Wales roundabout

  • Tour leaders Robert Glendinning of Agriculture Canada and Ian Carswell, chef/owner of Black Tartan Kitchen (https://www.blacktartankitchen.com) celebrate how much we get from trees during this tree tour with special emphasis on taste and food. 
  • Various trees and shrubs of the arboretum will be discussed from a culinary and horticultural perspective. Historical uses, uses in various cultures, current interest, and cautionary tales will all be touched on.
  • COST: Free admission, donations gratefully accepted during the tour
