Where:
Ornamental Gardens, Central Experimental Farm

WHEN: Tuesday, June 4 at 5:00 p.m. Registration is for one individual only. Each attendee must be registered separately. The tour will take place RAIN OR SHINE.

WHERE: Meet at the small parking lot beside Building 75 on the NCC Driveway. Visitor parking at this location is limited to 90 minutes.

WHAT: The rock garden was first started in the 1930’s. Between 1947 and 1952, it was redesigned by Warren Oliver. Note the conifers planted then were called “dwarf”, and they have grown immensely since then. Since 2014, AAFC staff and FCEF volunteers have been rejuvenating this garden by moving and replacing large trees and shrubs and planting alpines.

Tour leader: Rob Stuart, team member, Rock Garden, and former Director of FCEF

Attendance is limited to 25 people. If spaces fill up, you may ask to have your name added to a waiting list by sending us an email.

Register: Although the tours are free and open to the public, you must register in advance to attend by filling out this online form. Please note that free parking at the Farm is becoming more limited. Paid parking is available at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Museum.

COST: Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted during the tour. Places are limited, so first come, first served.
