Notable Trees on the Central Experimental Farm Campus

WHEN: Sunday, August 13, 9:30 a.m.

Please note: Our registration policy has changed. Registration is for one individual only. Each attendee must be registered separately.

WHERE: Please note that this tour will take place not in the Arboretum, but rather on the other (west) side of Prince of Wales Drive. We will begin at the big London Plane tree on the southwest edge of the Macoun Memorial Garden just off the NCC Driveway. You may park in the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum parking lot, located south of the Ornamental Gardens off Prince of Wales Drive. This is a pay-for-parking lot.

WHAT: Many trees have been planted on the Farm outside of the Arboretum. This tour will include trees planted near the Ornamental Gardens and the Main Lawn of the Farm. The tour leader will discuss examples of arboreal landscaping design and Farm-developed cultivars. After the tour, you can enjoy the gardens and other Farm attractions.

Tour leader: Roman Popadiouk

Attendance is limited to 40. If spaces fill up, you may ask to have your name added to a waiting list.

Register: Although the tours are free and open to the public, you must register in advance to attend by filling out this online form. Please note that free parking at the Arboretum and Farm is becoming more limited. Paid parking is available at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Museum, a short walk from the Arboretum.

COST: Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted during the tour.

INFO: Email info@friendsofthefarm.ca with questions or any issues with registration.
