Winter Approaches at the Dominion Arboretum

WHEN: Sunday, November 12, 9:30 a.m. Please note: Our registration policy has changed. Registration is for one individual only. Each attendee must be registered separately. The tour will take place RAIN OR SHINE.

WHERE: Meet at Building 72 in the Dominion Arboretum (east of the roundabout at Prince of Wales and the NCC Driveway)

WHAT: This event will focus on the condition of trees as winter approaches. Enjoy one last event before the grounds are blanketed in snowfall. We’ll discuss the joys of exploring trees and forests in winter, and tips on how to do so. Topics of tree dormancy, deciduous vs. evergreen, fallen leaves, cold-hardiness, and effects of the long cold winter will be explored.

Tour leader: Owen Clarkin

Attendance is limited to 40 people. If spaces fill up, you may ask to have your name added to a waiting list by sending us an email.
