Autumn Foliage at the Dominion Arboretum – this event has taken place

WHEN: Sunday, October 15, 9:30 a.m. Please note: Our registration policy has changed. Registration is for one individual only. Each attendee must be registered separately. The tour will take place RAIN OR SHINE.

WHERE: Meet at Building 72 in the Dominion Arboretum (east of the roundabout at Prince of Wales and the NCC Driveway)

WHAT: This tour will showcase the colourful mid-October autumn environment of the Dominion Arboretum. Traditional favourites such as Sugar Maple and Red Maple will be visited, as will some less well-known stars of the fall season such as Black Maple, White Oak, Sweet Gum and Tupelo. While the tour leader will aim to be an educational ambassador for the trees, it is hoped that we catch the peak colourful foliage season and, in effect, that the trees end up beautifully speaking for themselves.

Tour leader: Owen Clarkin

Attendance is limited to 40 people. If spaces fill up, you may ask to have your name added to a waiting list by sending us an email.

Register: Although the tours are free and open to the public, you must register in advance to attend by filling out this online form. Please note that free parking at the Arboretum and Farm is becoming more limited. Paid parking is available at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Museum, a short walk from the Arboretum.

COST: Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted during the tour.

INFO: Email info@friendsofthefarm.ca with questions or any issues with registration.

Admission to the tour is free but registration is required. Places are limited, so first come, first served.
