Location: The tour will start at the parking lot at Fletcher Wildlife Garden. Note: this is a different starting point than usual. Parking is limited but additional paid parking can be found in the Museum of Agriculture lot on the west side of Prince of Wales Drive – See map below. The event will proceed Rain or Shine.
DETAILS: Join us for a guided walk through the Dominion Arboretum focused on invasive pests affecting Ottawa’s urban and natural environments. Along the way, we’ll explore the research being done on biological control (natural methods used to help manage invasive species). We’ll discuss the challenges these pests create for local ecosystems and how scientists are working with nature-based solutions to protect urban forests and green spaces.
