WHAT: This woodlot tour will show the interesting biodiversity present in the strip of woods at the western edge of the Experimental Farm along Fisher Avenue.  We will discuss aspects of the native biodiversity including uncommon species such as Black Maple, while also taking note of other trees of interest growing in these woods such as Kentucky Coffee Tree and Hop-Tree.  While trees will be the focus, we will also pay attention to the biodiversity of the woods as a whole such as birds, insects, and fungi.

Tour leader:  Owen Clarkin
